Junior player and coach Chloe attends York College of Pennsylvania studying Environmental Science and French. She plays on York College’s women’s tennis team. “GPTL has really made me passionate about tennis. The coaches always encourage and push me to do my best. I have learned so much about leadership and responsibility as a junior tennis coach. GPTL has truly impacted my life on and off the tennis courts.”
Junior player and coach Erica attends James Madison University and was “inspired” to major in Sport and Recreation Management after learning valuable leadership skills playing and working for GPTL. She will have a minor in business and Spanish and plans on playing for the club tennis team. “I have created bonds with my coaches and peers that I will never forget. Besides learning how to be a better tennis player, GPTL has also taught me how to be a better person. Playing for GPTL has taught me discipline and the value of teamwork in a mostly individual game”.
Junior player and coach Brandon attends Millersville University. “I started playing tennis in the GPTL program and it has become my passion. Not only do I enjoy teaching the many fun and wonderful kids the proper techniques, I love the enthusiasm they have about wanting to play this great sport. The other GPTL coaches make my experience more exciting and enjoyable as we all share the same passion of learning and teaching tennis. I wouldn’t be playing tennis at Millersville University without GPTL!”
Junior player Lauren attends York College of Pennsylvania majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She plays on the York College’s tennis team. Lauren has been playing with GPTL for seven years. “The coaches and other players at GPTL always push us to do our best while having fun. GPTL has made me the tennis player I am today and for that I will always be grateful!”
Junior coach Molly attends Millersville University majoring in Early Childhood Education. “The coolest thing about tennis to me is that no matter how good you get, there’s always more to learn. With GPTL, the participants are always growing no matter which court they’re on. The atmosphere is so much fun to be in and I love seeing the kids form a love for the sport and am proud to be a part of GPTL.”
