Junior player and coach Kishan earned a full-ride to Duke University majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He was #1 in his class at Pottstown High School.  “Tennis taught me that having the right mindset is not only helpful in tennis, but in life. The mental game of tennis is just as challenging as the physical aspects. It is how we respond to challenges that dictate the results.”

 

 

Junior player and coach Cara attends Penn State University at University Park majoring in Immunology and Infectious Disease. She has played with GPTL since she was 6 years old.  “Playing tennis provided me with the foundation that my character and values were built upon. GPTL has given me a personalized education of tennis. On the other side of the net, as a coach, I’ve been honored to return my knowledge and give back to the Pottstown community and new generations of GPTL tennis players. It’s been empowering to witness the true impact of tennis on others’ lives beyond my own”.

 

Junior player and coach Kara will attend Lehigh University Class of 2026. Majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a Minor in Population Health. Kara has mentored and taught countless Pottstown students on and off the court. “I grew up playing in GPTL programs and the lessons I learned about the sport, hard work, integrity and community has greatly impacted my life.”
