1000 Pottstown youth participate in free after-school tennis and learning programs.

100 under-resourced children are awarded scholarships into clinics, camps and leagues.

IMPACT UPDATES

New Pottstown Middle School Tennis Teams

 

Pottstown students now have the opportunity to get ready to play on the high school tennis teams.  The new Middle School teams were gifted new racquets and cases by GPTL.  Thank you to USTA Middle States for a transportation grant.

 

 

 

 

 

New Education Wing at the Pottstown Integrated Wellness Complex (PIWC)

 

GPTL’s new education wing at 724 N. Adams St. will be a community resource for tutoring, educational programs and family engagement nights.  The proximity of the PIWC allows students to walk from the Pottstown High School and Pottstown Middle School to take advantage of our Nationally recognized organization.

 

 

 

 

GPTL is going places!

 

GPTL’s programs are a positive resource for more than a thousand Pottstown area youth including Pottstown High School player and USTA Foundation $5,000 Character Award grantee, Xzavier Williams.  Xzavier, pictured with GPTL Executive Director Kerriann Herdelin, attended the 2019 US Open on our annual bus trip.

College Bound!

 

Amier Cooper was awarded a 2019 USTA Foundation $10,000 College Scholarship.  Amier was introduced to tennis through our Pottstown Middle School after-school program and will be the first member of his family to attend a 4-year college.  TENNIS was his ADVANTAGE to his success!

Maple Street Tennis Courts named for Jim Corum

 

GPTL honored its founding father by naming the new courts at Pottstown’s Maple St. Park the Jim Corum Community Courts at a NETworking event on July 23, 2019.  The park revitalization effort is an excellent example of community development through tennis, combining both national and local funds to transform a public park.
